Job Description: As the Elder Arts and Wellness Program Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing our array of arts and wellness initiatives tailored specifically for seniors. You will collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where elders can explore their creativity, engage in meaningful activities, and foster social connections.
Mission: Dance & Bmore’s mission is to create meaningful human connections through movement, music, and theater for communities and individuals at every age and stage of life. We design a progression of programs over a life-time of creative enrichment that improve the social-emotional health of youth, families, and elders.
Qualifications:
- Education in a relevant field such as social work, gerontology, recreation therapy, or arts administration.
- Experience working with seniors or in a related field, preferably in a non-profit or community-based setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including seniors, volunteers, staff, and community partners.
- Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for promoting the well-being and dignity of older adults.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing needs and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Part Time: 16 - 20 hours per week
Pay Range: $19 - $21 per hour
