GBCA regularly convenes members of the cultural community to discuss ideas, challenges, and opportunities that directly affect the lives of the region’s artists and arts supporters. GBCA hosts monthly Arts & Culture Happy Hours and Brown Bag Professional Development Lunches, as well as workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Arts & Culture Happy Hours

GBCA hosts bi-monthly informal happy hours geared for the arts and culture community to gather, network, and share ideas at a local cultural venue.

Brown Bag House Talks

Brown Bag House Talks are informational and professional development sessions that feature experts from the field to discuss timely topics relevant to the cultural community. Past talks have presented topics such as: Accessibility for Cultural Institutions; Setting Up an Internship Program; Navigating Health Insurance for Artists; and Learning about the Cultural Data Project. Brown Bag House Talks are interactive, encourage participation, and free to attend.
