What is an improv show, exactly?
Le Mondo presents a pop-up from DEADLY PREY featuring an exhibition of hand-painted Ghanaian movie posters from the Ghanaian mobile cinema movement of the 1980s to present.
DEADLY PREY is a Chicago-based gallery dedicated to the preservation of hand-painted Ghanaian movie posters and its artistic tradition, while supporting the artists currently painting in Ghana.
Works and prints during this one-night-only exhibition will be available for purchase.
Brooklyn based trumpeter and composer Allison Philips brings her quartet to Baltimore for the first time in support of Make It Better, a powerful new album shaped by resilience, memory, and creative renewal. Written during the pandemic and brought to life with longtime collaborators Neta Raanan (tenor sax), Isaac Levien (bass), and Connor Parks (drums), the music blends lyrical depth with dynamic improvisation. With roots in jazz and a spirit of reflection, the group delivers emotionally charged performances that honor the past while looking forward.
