ImprovScape — ImprovScape brings improv to the arts communities of Baltimore! Each show, a specially designed cast of Highwire's improvisers meet with a local artist. We interview them, see their work, and turn their art, inspirations, history, and commentary into hilarious improv!
GRAMMY nominated lutenist, Ronn McFarlane strives to bring the lute, the most popular instrument of the Renaissance, into today’s musical mainstream and make it accessible to a wider audience. Join him for an afternoon at An die Musik Live to learn about all this marvelous instrument is capable of!
The Union Square “Sunday Sounds In The Park” Concert Series invites you to join us as we open up our 16th season of shows. This series is from 4-7pm on the last Sunday of each month from April through October and features a diverse mix of artists and music each year. This is a family friendly event, so bring your chairs, blankets, food & drinks, and family & friends to Union Square Park, 1500 W Lombard Street, to enjoy a wonderful and relaxing afternoon of great music in a beautiful and historic park.
In 2026, we celebrate 250 years since the founding of our nation! In drafting the Declaration of Independence, our founding fathers risked everything to bring about the birth of a new nation. We now honor that legacy with music that exemplifies the American spirit through the music of legendary composer and conductor, John Williams. Hear iconic works like Liberty Fanfare, The Men of the Yorktown March (Midway), the flute & piccolo feature from The Patriot, and the epic American Journey, written for the 2000 Millennium celebrations.
Internationally renowned British cellist, Steven Isserlis CBE, praised for leaving listeners “in perpetual wonder at the ingredients in his art” (The Australian), performs a program suited to his brilliance and versatility. From the playful charm and innovation of Beethoven to Soviet composer Kabalevsky’s personal emotion to Czech trailblazer Kaprálová’s explosiveness, Isserlis embarks on a captivating journey for all who cherish cello and piano.

Each evening presents jazz combos, jazz guitar ensemble, pop ensemble and the jazz vocal ensemble in the culminating event of their semester's work.

Join us for a special collaboration between the Baltimore School for the Arts Music Department and The Johns Hopkins Choral Society in a performance of Choral Director Mark Hardy’s Requiem, featuring soloists Öznur Tülüoğlu, Lori Hultgren, Kyle Engler, and Jason Widney.

Enjoy music of Cambodia and the world, while celebrating TU students who are expanding their musical horizons. The Cambodian Classical Ensemble performs on pin peat instruments, a centuries’ old tradition that accompanies Khmer classical dance and sacred, royal, and religious ceremonies. The World Music Ensemble plays arrangements from various non-Western musical traditions.
Action Repeat will be an exploration of perpetual motion. Featured choreographers include TU faculty members Vincent Thomas, Caroline Rocher Barnes, Sarah Olson and Robert Kleinendorst and guest artists Thryn Saxon and Hubbard Street Dance. The program also
features the Ballet Repertory class and the Modern Repertory class.
Members of the singing public are welcome to join Baltimore Choral Arts at Peabody for Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem. In this unique come-and-sing workshop format, you will be a member of the audience AND a member of the choir.

Spend the evening with Adam Weiner, frontman, pianist, and songwriter for Low Cut Connie. Adam will take the bima at Third Space for an intimate evening of music and conversation. Low Cut Connie hits will be woven together with Adam’s reflections on his song-writing process, music creation as spiritual practice, and his own spiritual and Jewish identity.
The Towson University Early Music Ensemble, directed by Professor Marc Bellassai present their spring recital, alongside string chamber music ensembles coached by Professor Jeffrey Howard.
