Their interpretation of Beethoven's taut, enigmatic Serioso Quartet reveals the revolutionary spirit that defined the First Viennese School. Paul Wiancko's Strange Beloved Land — written expressly for the Parker Quartet — offers a deeply personal tribute to the composer's late father, drawing its evocative title from a documentary about his travels in Romania.
