Third Act Maryland, along with Civic Works and the Chesapeake Climate Action Network, are inviting their fellow citizens to “Sun Day,” celebrating solar energy as the cheapest and fastest way to generate electricity.
The event, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, happens at Civic Works headquarters, 3501 Brehms Ln., in Baltimore. Admission is free.

Join us every Wednesday of December for singing and fun at the Catonsville Clubhouse.
A song circle is a friendly jam session on acoustic instruments only. Hand drums are okay. Songs can include originals or favorite covers. We'll take turns around the circle. If it's your turn, you can do your song solo or you may request accompaniment. You may invite the whole group to join in, or you may invite specific individuals (you may have worked out an arrangement). The important thing is that you choose how to put your music across.

Celebrate the 200th birthday of local literary scholar Frances Ellen Watkins Harper, a suffragist, club woman, and valued community member. Visit the H. Furlong Baldwin Library to view a copy of Harper’s published poetry book, Forest Leaves, and enjoy a live reading of poems and written pieces by Harper.
