The Baltimore Psychedelic Society is thrilled to present an inspiring and collaborative community event. This event, taking place at the American Visionary Arts Museum Sculpture Barn and Garden, was conceived as a demonstration of the healing power of visionary art that derives from experiences of non-ordinary states of consciousness. The second of two concerts featuring keyboard music from the massive and diverse corpus of J.S. Bach. This annual concert series, now in its 17th year, is performed by Ted Davis on his own William Mitchell double harpsichord.
"Golden Bach" features one of the most celebrated works in music history, the monumental "Goldberg" variations. The work, first published as Clavierübung IV, has long been recognized as a towering achievement and a shining example of Bach's creativity.
See cellist Johannes Mose and pianist Marc-André Hamelin as they join forces for a memorable and illuminating duo recital. They will perform works by Hamelin himself and Nadia Boulanger, a paragon of 20th century classical music, plus sonatas by Debussy and Franck, two of the great masterworks of the cello-piano repertoire.

The McDaniel College Choir performs, under the direction of Kyle Engler, senior lecturer, with Peggy Brengle serving as accompanist. The program features music from diverse locales and historical eras.

From occupational therapy to memorializing loved ones or precious objects, the practice of quilting can aid in physical and/or emotional healing. In this virtual program, explore the different ways quilting has been used as a therapeutic tool, and practice designing your own healing quilt square. An at-home material list will be provided at registration. The program is suitable for all ages.
