At the B&O, select Sundays are dedicated to Sensory Awareness. These days feature environmental accommodations—such as no music, low lighting, quiet areas, and extra signage for sound effects—along with sensory-friendly activities like kids’ crafts, train rides, and tours. Guests also have access to helpful resources, including sensory kits, social stories, and a community table. This August's theme is Fun in the Sun. We will be making sun hats and going on our "Maryland on the Rails" tour.

We will have 3 exciting scavenger hunts for young explorers: the Bank of America Model Train Gallery Scavenger Hunt, Maryland History Scavenger Hunt, and the Underground Railroad Scavenger Hunt. Scavengers Hunts will be available at the Information Desk in the Roundhouse.
