Bass clarinetist/composer Todd Marcus is one of the few jazz artists worldwide to focus their work primarily on the bass clarinet. His work over recent years has focused on his quintet and jazz orchestra but for this show, he and long-time drummer Eric Kennedy presents his quartet along with acclaimed pianist Marc Cary and bassist Kris Monson who both join the band for the first time.

Home Cookin' Jazz Quintet plays great tunes by jazz masters who have been under-recognized as composers (such as Oscar Peterson, Mary Lou Williams, Ray Brown, Clark Terry). Swing, blues, Latin, calypso, jazz waltzes and ballads. Home Cookin' brings together three long-time veterans of the Baltimore jazz scene with two young Peabody alumni.
