DESCRIPTION:A multi instrumentalist (piano, guitar, cornet) Craig Gildner
  started  playing guitar in 1979 and has led several successful larger swi
 ng era groups  here in D.C since 1999. Recently he’s focused on the demand
 ing yet  satisfying chord melody guitar style of the late 40’s and 50’s. I
 n  September 2017 at the encouragement of fellow guitarist John Pizzarelli
 , he  began playing 7 string archtop guitar and fascinated by the possibi
 lities of  the instrument, hasn’t looked back. His approach evokes greats
  such as  George Van Eps, Barney Kessel, Tal Farlow and Wes Montgomery.
