  of Freedom:  The Case for Hope, a meditation on resistance, justice, a
 nd freedom. The  discussion will be led by students participating in the B
 lack Culture in the  Digital Age course within the UMBC Department of Engl
 ish. This course  explores the intersections of race, ethnicity, discour
 se, media, and  communication systems while encouraging students to grap
 ple with the impact  of digital media on social movements, such as Black 
 Lives Matter. Seating is  limited and advance registration is required.
