 nder the  direction of Tom Goldstein. The UMBC Percussion Ensemble is a de
 dicated  performing group of advanced percussion students. The ensemble is
  adventurous  in its programming, with a repertoire that includes graphic
 -notation pieces,  improvisational works, and theatre, as well as works
  by important early  percussion composers, such as Alan Hovhaness, John 
 Cage, and Carlos Chavez.
