 Dan Shomper  (cello), Marty Knepp (vibes) – is a new and innovative ensem
 ble that  includes four multifaceted musicians. Their diverse backgrounds 
 create a  seamless blend of classical, jazz, Latin, and popular music. 
 Quartet 122  simultaneously combines the esthetics of a classical chamber 
 group with the  freedom, spontaneity, and improvisation of a small jazz 
 combo—all these  elements are captured in the ensemble’s compositions, ar
 rangements, and  transcriptions.
