DESCRIPTION:Join us at the opening reception for “Suzan Rouse: Noir”. In he
 r latest  body of work, Rouse pushes her boundaries even further. This se
 ries was  executed very directly, with no planning or preliminary drawing
 . The works  are conceived intuitively. Rouse draws with a spontaneity and
  directness that  are deceptively childlike and which give her prints grea
 t charm. The  whimsical quality of her style undercuts the message, unset
 tling at times.  All prints in this series are monotypes, which produces 
 only one print per  image - there is no edition, instead, each print is 
 unique.
