DESCRIPTION:Always one for flamboyance, Captain Isaac Emerson came back fr
 om a trip to  Italy and decided he wanted to build a new factory in downto
 wn Baltimore and  that it should look like Florence’s fabulous town hall,
  the Palazzo  Vecchio. Completed in 1911, the tower’s four clocks each me
 asure 24 feet  across, a foot more London’s Big Ben, and the tower itsel
 f was the tallest  building in Baltimore at the time.
