DESCRIPTION:Electroforming is a chemical and electrical process in which me
 tal grows, or  plates, over a model, creating a hollow metal shell. Thi
 s technique allows  for the creation of very fluid, lightweight, three-d
 imensional forms. In this  class, students learn how to set up an electro
 forming system, work in wax to  create models to be electroformed, turn 
 electroformed pieces into finished  works of art, as well as incorporate 
 electroforming into other art mediums.  In addition, students explore pat
 ination, foiling, and soldering onto  electroformed pieces. *No experien
 ce necessary.*
