DESCRIPTION:The repetition of imagery, ideas, or form is a powerful tool 
 in the creation  of art. In this class, students will investigate not jus
 t repetition as used  as a formal design tool, but also the power the rep
 etition of movement,  thought, and ritual have in how we create. Sample 
 making will be used to  explore various ideas and formal projects will be 
 inspired by these samples.  In addition to studio work, short written exe
 rcises and readings will be  given.
