The Howard County Arts Council seeks Arts Center Building Attendant

The Howard County Arts Council is seeking part-time Building Attendants to work 2 – 3 shifts per week (including weekend hours) at the Howard County Center for the Arts (HCAC), a 27,000 square foot multi-disciplinary arts center operated by the Arts Council and located in Ellicott City. Special event hours may be available depending on the building schedule.

Building Attendants open and close the Center, provide event set-up, greet visitors, respond to public inquiries, communicate with cleaning and facilities crews, prepare mailings, and assist in monitoring building activity (gallery exhibits, theatre events, meetings, classes, etc.).

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a flexible schedule and reliable transportation, and be able to work with the public. The position requires regular heavy lifting and moving of tables, chairs, theatre equipment, and other art/meeting equipment of up to 50 lbs.

COMPENSATION: Regular hourly rate is $10.60/hr.
