Open Call: Male Actors of Color Needed for Upcoming Production at Single Carrot Theatre

Single Carrot Theatre seeks male actors of color to perform in its upcoming production of Utopia Parkway by Charles Mee and directed by SCT's Artistic Director Genevieve de Mahy. Must be able to carry a tune, and must be willing to work collaboratively. The ideal candidate would be available for most rehearsals and all of tech and performances (pertinent dates listed below). The ability to play one or several musical instruments is a plus.

Auditions will be held on Sunday, January 11th, from 7pm-9pm. Interested parties should contact Producing Director Kellie Mecleary at [email protected] to RSVP to the audition. If you are unavailable for this time, please email to schedule an alternate audition time.

Beginning of Contract: January 19, 2015

First rehearsal: January 19, 2015

Tech: March 20-24

Previews: 3/25-3/26

Performances: 3/27-4/26

End of contract: April 27, 2015

SCT’s general rehearsal schedule is as follows: Mondays-Thursdays 7pm-10:30pm, Sundays 1pm-5:30pm.

SCT’s performance schedule is as follows: Thursday-Saturday 7:30pm, Sunday 2:30pm.

Compensation is $200 for the project, two be paid within two weeks of the end of the contract.
