Join the Todd Marcus Jazz Orchestra in celebrating the release of Blues for Tahir on HiPNOTIC Records. The album was selected as one of the top 40 albums of 2015 by JazzTimes Magazine and recently led to a prestigious New Jazz Works commission by Chamber Music America.

Based in Baltimore, Marcus is a bass clarinetist and composer of Egyptian-American heritage. In the past 10 years he has won many accolades such as the prestigious Baker Artist Award and has been named a rising star by DownBeat Magazine for three consecutive years.

His current recording makes his biggest statement to date by setting Egypt'’s Arab Spring movement to music. The album has attracted international attention with recent performances at the Cairo Jazz Festival in Egypt, SF Jazz, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
