AmiciMusic presents another great House Concert at 208 Northway in Guilford. The program features cellist Eric Kutz and pianist Daniel Weiser performing works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Balakirev, Barber, and Cassado in a very intimate atmosphere with food and drink included. Both men have performed in numerous countries around the world and in some of the finest venues, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Dr. Kutz is the Professor of Cello at University of Maryland and Dr. Weiser is a former professor at Dartmouth College. Weiser, the founder and Artistic Director of AmiciMusic, also talks about each piece before it is performed, helping to put it into socio-historical context and pointing out interesting tidbits about the composer and things to listen to.
