Two Trains Runnin

Two Trains Runnin

In the summer of 1964, hundreds of college students traveled to Mississippi to join the struggle for civil rights and voter registration during what would become known as the "Freedom Summer." By sheer coincidence, two groups of country blues lovers would make the same trip to Mississippi at this time, in an attempt to find legendary blues musicians Skip James and Son House. As these odysseys intertwine, we are left with a brilliant film which highlights the political and cultural struggles and triumphs of this critical period.
