Letitia VanSant, Anne Watts, QueenEarth, J. Pope: Bmore Songstresses

Four astounding vocalists come together for a night of musical surprises.
LETITIA VAN SANT
Letitia VanSant is a singer-songwriter known for her distinctly intimate voice and sincere stage presence. Whether she is performing solo or backed up by a three-piece band, VanSant's sound ranges from stripped-down indie folk to gritty Americana. Her lyrics ask spiritual questions about human nature and justice.
ANNE WATTS
Creative Alliance favorite Anne Watts is a powerful singer, pianist and accordion player. Of Anne Watts, legendary Southern producer Jim Dickinson said, “Any artist that can reference Lotte Lenya, Edith Piaf, Captain Beefheart, and Thelonious Monk at the same time is okay with me. Dark, earthtone vocals; faded, sepia band tracks; with a splash of day-glo. She makes Tom Waits sound like a sissy.”
QUEENEARTH
Singer- songwriter QueenEarth ties her warm alto voice and intimate melodies to lyrical themes of female empowerment, LGBT pride, social justice and spiritual uplift for all. Through her music, she encourages the full embrace of ourselves and our world.
J. POPE (acoustic)
J Pope has been described by Baltimore Magazine as an artist that, “doesn’t shy away from political, social, and religious issues, and frames them with a positive vibe that makes [her work] incredibly appealing." She is an MC and singer who fronts J Pope & Funk Friday [JPFF] who have been spreading their spiraling riffs, dirty grooves and poignant messages across the Baltimore indie scene since 2010. Tonight, her set will be more stripped down and intimate than her normal (and awesome) Funk Friday performance.
