Marianne Matheny-Katz’s new CD, Somewhere in Paradise, on the Indy label Jazzway, has been receiving significant nationwide airplay. The new album is the first with Matheny-Katz as band leader and helps establishes her position as one of Baltimore’s reigning jazz divas. She is featuring the album in a series of concerts including the intimate European-style cabaret at Germano’s in Baltimore on August 16.
