An icon in the contemporary music scene, the Mana Quartet presents masterworks on vintage instruments built to the specifications of the saxophone’s inventor, Adolphe Sax. The first saxophone quartet to win the Coleman Chamber Ensemble Competition Grand Prize, the quartet will take audiences on a historical journey exploring the evolution of the saxophone quartet through their “Happy Birthday, Mr. Sax” program, in honor of Sax’s 200th birthday.
