SHAWN PURCELL, guitarist-is the guitarist with the U.S. Navy Band "Commodores" jazz ensemble in Washington D.C. Purcell also currently serves as adjunct professor of jazz studies (jazz guitar and jazz arranging) at George Mason University. www.shawnpurcell.com

TONY MARTUCCI, drummer-Tony has cultivated an original and interpretive drum style that is both supportive and interpretive, reflecting his deep understanding of the jazz tradition and his vast stylistic influence. He is a creatively skilled accompanist and a soloist if unusual melodic depth. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tony’s professional career began over 25 years ago. In 1986, he won Downbeat Magazine’s “Dee Bee” award for Best Collegiate Bass Soloist from a submittal of a recording of his work with the Youngstown State University Jazz Ensemble. He has performed and recorded with many touring internationally known jazz artists, including Nat Adderly, Kenny Burrell, Joe Lovano, Diane Schur, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Ira Sullivan, Joe Williams, Sean Jones, Tamir Hendelman, Maucha Adnet, David Budway, Ron Affif. TANIA GRUBBS, vocalist-Tania is an accomplished vocalist with an extensive repertoire and has an expansive vocal range. Versed in the America Songbook she is always on they lookout for great literature old and new and prides herself on finding a fresh new approach when sharing the literature withthe listeners. A resident of Pittsburgh, Pa for more the 23 years, she considers Pittsburgh home and is extremely proud to be a part of its rich musical legacy, Tania is the Co-Music Director at the Fairmont Pittsburgh, located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, where music is presented 3 nights per week in Jazz at Andys. Since living in Pittsburgh, Tania has been a four-time recipient of the Ready for Life Grants, founded by the Heinz Foundation, for working with young children through music and movement. She has also been a featured vocalist with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and has performed with the Civic Light Opera, Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust "Jazzlive" series, The Pittsburgh Jazz Society, The Westmoreland Jazz Society and The Butler Jazz Society. Tania has one release: “Lost in the Stars”.
