Visitors can enjoy free admission to the entire museum as part of our Free First Thursdays. The following tours will take place this day (groups of 10 or more people must book the tours ahead of time):

• 11am Collection Highlights Tours: Explore the galleries with a member of our staff, hear the stories behind the artifacts on display and learn about Maryland's rich history.
• 1pm Civil Rights Tour: From speaking out against the institution of slavery to fighting for equal rights, Marylanders have long played a role in the growth of Civil Rights story. Some of the highlights that will be seen will be an autographed cabinet card of Frederick Douglas, the Paul Henderson Photograph Collection, the story and items of the 4th Colored Troops, and much more.
