The Maryland Half Marathon & 5K Run/Walk is celebrating 11 years of “Changing Lives One Mile at a Time” by supporting research that has benefitted countless patients and their families. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2019, in the Maple Lawn Community of Howard County. The Maryland Half Marathon & 5K Run/Walk has raised more than $4 million for cancer research with 100 percent of the net proceeds benefitting the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The event gives everyone an opportunity to participate and help in the fight against cancer by offering a half marathon, 5K run/walk or the option to simply fundraise. Children can also join the cause by participating in the Kids Fun Run, plus there will be a Kids Zone for families to enjoy and a post-race festival. All Half Marathon & 5K Run/Walk participants will receive a customizable fundraising page, race t-shirt and finisher medal.
