A son of the Louisiana cultural Diaspora, Ruben Paul Moreno grew up in East Houston, and started playing at age ten when he was thrown on stage with his uncle, zydeco great Leroy Thomas. He went on to tour with Roy Carrier and Clifton Chenier. Tonight Ruben brings his full band for a night of this great, high-energy Louisiana dance music, which Ruben infuses with accents from other Americana/roots traditions.
