3D Printing Lab for Tweens

Master 3-D design fundamentals, create prototypes, model and render on your own workstation, and prepare files to print your creations using 3-D printers! Learn about 3D modeling and computer-aided design (CAD) using TinkerCAD to create your own personalized project and print it on a CD printer. This entry-level class will focus on learning the basic techniques to build a CD model from primitive shapes such as cubes, spheres, cylinders, cones, and letters. Then each student will create a nametag of their own design to be 3D printed. Seats are limited. Learn to model 3D designs for printing using Tinkercad and related software
Prerequisite: No experience necessary but computer aptitude is required.
FutureMakers Age Level: 8 to 11
Taught by Dave Tate. Dave is a woodworker and educator. Jumping off a career as an engineer, Dave has followed many paths that have all led to the same place - sharing his love for making, tinkering, and solving problems.
