Lauren Giordano of Baltimore Magazine and The Peacock Press, will cover the basics of letterpress printing on tabletop platen press, including: press mechanics, typesetting, locking up the chase, using a base to print from polymer plates, inking the press, setting tympan and gauge pins, preparing make-ready to achieve your desired impression, plus troubleshooting and clean up. This workshop requires no previous letterpress experience and each student will print an assortment of gift tags and thank you cards. 12-5pm. $85, $75 mbrs.
