Belorussian-born American conductor, saxophonist, and clarinetist Yevgeny Dokshansky has appeared as soloist, chamber musician, and conductor throughout Europe, North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. He is a 1st prize-winner at the Minsk Jazz Competition, 3rd prize-winner at the 2nd International Music of Hope Competition, special prize-winner at the 5th Aginski International Competition of Chamber Music, and two-time Baird Concerto Competition winner on both clarinet and saxophone. Deeply committed to chamber music, he founded the Chicago Q Ensemble, Martin & Dokshansky Duo, Alito Quintet, and performed from 2004 to 2006 with the Amherst Saxophone Quartet.

He holds positions as Assistant Professor of Clarinet at Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts, Artistic Director of Ensemble Next Parallel in Washington, D.C., and Principal Clarinet of the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra. While living in Trinidad, Yevgeny founded an outreach after-school instrumental music program for the students at Maria Regina Primary School and an annual summer band camp.

His latest CD “Around the World: Trios for Clarinet, Violin and Piano” with Ensemble Next Parallel was released in February 2021 under the London record label, Heritage Records. Yevgeny is an endorsing performing artist for Légère Reeds and BG France.

Cellist Pei Lu is the recipient of many awards and honors, including top prizes in the National Cello Competition in China, Music Teachers’ National Association Competition, International Baltimore Music Club Competition, Carmel International Chamber Music Competition and the Gregor Piatigorsky Award from the Peabody Conservatory of Music. She has been the cello section substitute with the BSO since 1996. At Apple Hill Chamber Music Center summer camp, she has served as a faculty member for more than 20 years. In 2018, she became the Associate Principal of Annapolis Symphony Orchestra.

A native of China, Ms. Lu began her musical education at the Xian Conservatory of Music. She was honored with a full scholarship to study with world-renowned cellist, professor Stephen Kates. She completed her studies with the most prestigious Artist Diploma in Cello Performance at the Peabody Conservatory of Music.

Pianist Hsiang Tu has been praised by The New York Times for his "eloquent sensitivity" and The Boston Intelligencer for his "impeccable technique." He is currently working on the complete cycles of piano solo works by Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel and thematic recitals featuring animal-themed music and opus-one compositions.

A winner of The Juilliard School Concerto Competition and a prizewinner at the New Orleans International Piano Competition, the American Paderewski Piano Competition, and the Iowa International Piano Competition, Hsiang has appeared with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Sioux City Symphony Orchestra, and the World Civic Orchestra, among others.

He is an Assistant Professor of Piano at Virginia Tech’s School of Performing Arts. His debut solo CD, “Bestiary on Ivory,” was released by Bridge Records in October 2020.
