With music by Henry Purcell, Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream transforms into a classic airwave drama, featuring a Grammy Award-winning international cast and orchestra. This new work immerses audiences and performers in an old-fashioned radio studio experience, complete with ON-AIR/OFF-AIR and APPLAUSE signs as well as an onstage Foley artist enriching the performance with live sound effects. The result is a nostalgic, feel-good romp to start the holiday season with laughter and magic.
A trailer featuring art works on the themes of A FAIRY QUEEN by Kel Millionie. The voice of John Scherch shares the set-up for each of the acts of A FAIRY QUEEN, and the cast and orchestra provide snippets of the music. This is the trailer for the original podcast release - this version is a live radio-drama experience.
