"We, Underworld Orchard, have gathered works of writers whose words we sing in our folk trance way.. Gertrude Stein's repetitions, Moon Dog's couplets, James Agees personified gardens, Homer's watery descriptions.

We began to sing together some years ago, just after meeting. We would talk and talk and sing and sing, no structure, no words in our singing and though we were cultures apart, generations apart, we had an ancient vocal connection. Steve now makes a sparkling sonic world where we wind our voices among his bell like tones."
