Beth Macy, author of the bestselling Dopesick, returns to document the opioid crisis, which has seen addiction rates reach record-breaking numbers during the COVID pandemic. Dr. Joshua Sharfstein is the vice dean for public health practice and community engagement as well as a professor of the practice in health policy and management at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He is a former health commissioner of Baltimore, principal deputy commissioner of the U.S. FDA, and health secretary of Maryland.
