BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE LIFE AS AN ARTIST

FREE IN-PERSON WORKSHOP FROM ARTISTS U/BALTIMORE

Why artists are poor and why we shouldn’t be
Tools artists have used to make things easier
How to build a life that is balanced, productive, and sustainable

Based on fifteen years of work with artists locally and nationally, artist leaders Andrew Simonet, Victor Rodgers aka Slangston Hughes, and L.M. "Mama Nef" Partlow-Myrick will offer tools for reconnecting with our deep values, building community, generating opportunities for our art, and managing our time and money.

Who is this for? Baltimore artists in all disciplines and traditions (including community art, folk art, fine art, craft, hip-hop, spoken word, film, writing, etc).
How much does it cost? It’s free for artists (thanks to the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation), but enrollment is limited.
Do I have to attend both days? Yes, the conversation builds over the workshop; your presence and contributions are crucial.
Will there be food and beverages? Of course. We will provide lunch on Saturday as well as snacks and bevs throughout.
