Disability Pride Arts Fest

Disability Pride Arts Fest

On July 15, Make Studio is excited to host our first Disability Pride Arts Fest (a "mini-festival") in and surrounding our gallery on Keswick Road, in Hampden, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.*

For the past several months, our member artists have collaborated with performance artist Valeska Populoh to create an interactive performance art piece illustrative of “6 Things You Should Know” in honor of Disability Pride Month, a time to celebrate and recognize the contributions of disabled people in society.

The performance will cap off the festival, which will include free arts activities and resource offerings from Make Studio and a dozen arts and disability agency partners, music, icy cool refreshments, and an opportunity to contribute personal narratives for our concurrent gallery exhibition, I*D: What’s Unseen & What’s Felt.

Please follow our social media for updates on this event, including news from our partners and sponsors!

*Inclement weather date will be July 22, 2023.
