Pulse: performance art salon

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 8PM. $5
November is a focused salon of work surrounding limitations of a body. This salon experiments with the extent we can carry on in our bodies and how can we go on beyond them. How do we respond to our own bodies among other ones, and how do we direct the other bodies to our own liking?
Run by Carly J Bales, Pulse is a regularly-occurring salon for the discussion and development of performance art work in Baltimore. The salons feature 3-4 performance artists a month and are open to everyone. The aim of these salons is to provide a consistent outlet for performance artists to create new work and connect with fellow performers. Pulse also welcomes the larger public to experience and participate in the development of these works-in-progress. Building off of these salons, EMP Collective hosts larger, curated performance events quarterly.
