Estrella Classical Guitar Concert Series: Bowen Zheng

Sunny Tree Project and An die Musik Live! are excited to bring you a monthly classical guitar concert series, starting January 2024, with the goal of providing students with more performance opportunities off campus! The series will continue on the first Saturday of each month at 3 p.m.
The Estrella classical guitar concert series will highlight Master and Doctor of Musical Arts students and give them a paid opportunity to perform. Come join in person or on the livestream for an incredible live performance by Bowen Zheng, showcasing the mesmerizing beauty of classical guitar
Born in Shanghai, China, classical guitarist Bowen Zheng is a unique musician with a diverse background in psychology and computer science. Having only begun studying music and classical guitar at a late age, he progressed quickly and his passionate hard work has allowed him to develop all aspects of serious musicianship.
With a background in programming and computer science, Bowen brings a unique perspective to his music, integrating his logical and artistic skills. Despite his late start, his dedication led him to earn awards and scholarships that enabled him to receive a Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Guitar Performance at the Peabody Institute, where he continues his studies for a Master’s degree under the tutelage of Dr. Thomas Viloteau.
In-person seats: $20 / $10 students
Six-concert Series Pass: $100 / $50 students
Attendees receive a link to the recording to view for one week.
Streaming passes: $15
The link will be sent out to live stream participants 15 minutes before the show and will remain active thru Jan. 13
