Columbia Maryland Film Festival THE MARTINI SHOT & Reception
The Columbia Maryland Film Festival will present THE MARTINI SHOT LIVE In-Person at Monteabaro Hall, Howard Community College Horowitz Center On Saturday September 14, 2024 at 6PM with a light refreshment Reception and post screening Q&A with Director Stephen Wallis.
This existential comedic drama follows an ailing film director as he begins to shoot what he believes to be his final work of art. What starts out as a normal film for him changes dramatically as the deterioration of his health progresses. The result being a fascinating exploration of mortality and one’s profound effect on the world.
The Martini shot is a different type of film than most are used to seeing nowadays. It's a surreal look at the human side of a man who believes himself to be God. Trying his best to create art despite the difficulties that come with that. We're all very pleased with the film and it's believed by Matthew that it's a career best performance and I have to concur. It's a film that will make you think and open your heart.
If you have purchased an ALL FESTIVAL PASS, this LIVE screening is included at no extra cost (Capacity is limited on a First-Come-First-Serve basis, so Pre-Order or Reservations are highly recommended).
