Poetry Day highlights poetry workshops taught by award-winning poets plus time to write and share poems with other poetry-loving people. Lunch and a British-style afternoon tea round out an exciting day at Manor Mill, a restored 18th century grist mill located in the beautiful horse-country of Baltimore County.

If you register by May 10, you are invited to select a painting, photograph, or sculpture displayed in the "Horses and Hounds" exhibit at the Manor Mill Gallery and to write a poem about your selection. As the first activity on Poetry Day, poets will read their poems while standing in front of their chosen piece of art. This EKPHRASTIC exercise was a favorite at Manor Mill's first Poetry Day in 2024.
