Klezmer and Yiddish Song: Workshop + Concert + Jam + Dance!

It's cold outside, but the klezmer is piping hot! As the holiday season winds down, stay ahead of the winter blues with some chicken soup for the soul!
Please join us on Sunday, January 11th at Homewood Friends Meeting (3107 N Charles St) for a very special afternoon of singing and learning, world class klezmer, jamming, and Yiddish dance with Deborah Strauss (violin, vocals, dance) Cantor Jeff Warschauer (guitar, cobza, mandolin, vocals), and Zilyin Biret (clarinet, poyk, vocals).
Deborah, Jeff, and Zilyin are truly some of the best in the biz, and have been at the forefront of the international klezmer and Yiddish music scene for the last 25 years.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to see them on stage together as they present a special concert about love, unity, and the strength of Di goldene keyt, the golden chain of Yiddish culture that spans the generations. The trio draws from both the listening and dance traditions in klezmer, Yiddish, Hasidic and liturgical music, adding their own original compositions and song settings, creating music that will help lift our spirits, connect to one another, and express our deepest feelings.
