Leadership, Legacy, and the Paradox of Freedom with George Washington’s Mount Vernon

MCHC is a proud partner and host site for the George Washington Teacher Institute 250 (GWTI250). This one-day institute will welcome educators to explore the legacy of America’s first president and his connections to Maryland’s history. Historian, author, and chef Ramin Ganeshram will present her research on Chef Hercules Posey and foodways of enslaved African Americans and mixed-race people in colonial and Early Federal America.
