A specialist in the recordings made by immigrants to the U.S. in the first half of 20th century, Nagoski will give a talk-and-listening session about recordings made in the U.S. by performers from Greater Syria (Bilād al-Shām) during the period 1913-1965. All proceeds will benefit Baltimore's Syrian refugee community whose Temporary Protected Status is currently under threat.
