The Imagination Tool Box: Integration, Creativity and Innovation

Participate in an interactive, exciting and hands-on conference sponsored by the Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Curriculum, Assessment and Accountability, The Walters Art Museum and Arts Education in Maryland Schools Alliance.
This hands-on conference will include short presentations by educators, museum educators and businesses on how the arts and arts integration supports College and Career-Ready Standards, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation. After the presentations, you will engage in thoughtful conversations with other participants and the presenters.
Be ready for a creative challenge! Use 21st century skills as you work with a team to solve an artistic problem, then determine how the skills translate into the classroom and the workplace.
Network and communicate with other professionals. Network with educators and business personnel to explore and discuss how the arts are fundamental to education. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Seeking participants to share their imaginative, creative and innovative ideas in education and business using a timed slide presentation. Tell your story on how you incorporate 21st Century skills, arts integration, and MSDE’s College and Career Ready Standards to bring out the inventiveness, self direction, adaptability, productivity, communication and leadership qualities of your students, colleagues, personnel or yourself!
If selected, you will be part of the interactive conference on ways educators, learners and the businesses engage their stakeholders.
