Market Day

Market Day

A Cylburn tradition, Market Day attracts local vendors selling great plants, garden accessories, and arts and crafts. It is Mother’s Day Weekend, bring your mom to buy plants for spring or pick up a gift for her (or yourself) while supporting Cylburn. Find gorgeous hanging baskets, herbs, trees, shrubs, rare and native plants for sale and get advice from our garden professionals on what will work in your own space and how to keep it healthy and beautiful.

Many of the plants are grown on-site by the Cylburn Arboretum Association, Baltimore City Recreation & Parks and UME Baltimore City Master Gardeners while others come from area garden clubs, specialty growers and non-profits.

In addition to our outdoor fesitivities, David Thompson, Celebration of Art participant will present an exhibit of his recent work in the Vollmer Center during Mother’s Day weekend. David was chosen for this show by Cylburn’s Chief of Horticulture, Melissa Grim, based on his work displayed in Cylburn’s 2014 Celebration of Art. Visit during Market Day on Saturday the 9th, and celebrate the exhibition with the artist on Sunday the 10th from 2-4pm. Bring your mom to see his beautiful work!

And don’t pack a picnic! Have a bite to eat from some of our favorite Baltimore City Food Trucks: Green Bowl, WOLO, and Iced Gems!
