When an unexpected major surgery, earthquake, and hurricane all hit within three weeks Trina Coleman and her husband Zachary were shaken out of their previous fears. They began to share the original songs which, for years, had quietly piled on the piano. Trina’s classical training and biracial background weave into a fresh, powerful sound with their band Sojourne; formed in 2012 with bassist Tim Long and drummer Stephen McGrath. Best described as Baltimore's slice of progressive soul, Sojourne has been heard at the Artscape Festival, Creative Alliance, the 8x10, and live on NPR’s WYPR 88.1 FM.

Tonight, Trina will perform solo on piano for the first time with a string quartet composed of several Peabody musicians. This will be a unique glimpse into her new album "These Seeds" and a taste of the string arrangements layering these freshly recorded songs. Not to be missed!
