Celebrate the release of Spirit House, a continuation of Marian McLaughlin's musical partnership with double bassist and arranger Ethan Foote. Their work together represents an adventurous and original endeavor bringing together folk rock, chamber music, and lyrical vision. Marian McLaughlin is a songwriter, singer and guitarist pushing the boundaries of folk music. Weaving together imaginative lyrics, intricate classical guitar work and a rhapsodic delivery, she creates songs of breathtaking scope and exquisite detail. Openers: Canopy is a Baltimore-based collaboration between Matt Muirhead and McKenzie Ditter. The duo plays improvised music on instruments they've built from scratch. Their sound is adventurous and ethereal.

Middle Set: Former members of post-harDCore agitators Q and Not U, John Davis and Chris Richards have drastically changed course in their current duo Paint Branch, echoing the mood and feel of CSNY and Harry Nilsson.
