Separated by four centuries, Philip Glass’s upbeat minimalist style is a recognizable descendant of The Four Seasons. Vivaldi’s beloved, vivid depiction of the seasons contrasts with the collision of real science and science fiction in Brian Greene’s novella, Icarus at the Edge of Time. Glass’ intoxicating score accompanies video images of a young boy’s time-traveling journey towards a black hole.
