Austin's WinoVino ("why-no-vee-no") has earned the attention of discriminating musicphiles with their refined blend of salty lyrics, bawdy Prohibition-era cabaret, and Eastern European folk music. With vibrant melodies and marvelously florid tempos, these charming miscreants include multiple vocalists, and they also play guitar, fiddle, accordion, sousaphone, trombone, trumpet, drums, washboards, hubcaps, occasionally banjo, and the odd unicycle. With their love of folk music from around the world and repertoire of traditional songs, as well as high-energy, danceable originals, WinoVino creates a fun danceable playground for their sweaty fans.

Baltimore’s own Charm City Klezmer, the most unorthodox of klezmer bands, offers mad fun dance songs with Judith directing the circle dances, from amped up traditional klezmer to klezmer fallen into a vat of high-energy jazz or pumpin’ James Brown.
